AWARDS and HONORS
Presenter at the 2012 Mixed Roots Film and Literary Festival at the Japanese American National Museum, Los Angeles.
Chosen from among 30+ Denver and Boulder writers to serve as a creative writing associate with the Rocky Mountain Women’s Institute. As an RMWI associate, I began writing a collection of short stories, presented before an “Image and Identity” class at CU-Denver on the creative process, and helped plan as well as participated in a dynamic associate showcase. I also voluntarily copy-edited a large number of placards and promotional materials for the event.
My first novel, One Sister’s Song has been recorded and added to the Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic national catalog of audio titles for students with reading disabilities.
