AWARDS and HONORS
Presenter at the 2012 Mixed Roots Film & Literary Festival at the Japanese American National Museum, Los Angeles.
Chosen from among 30+ Denver and Boulder writers to serve as a creative writing associate with the Rocky Mountain Women’s Institute. As an RMWI associate, I began writing a collection of short stories, presented before an “Image and Identity” class at CU-Denver on the creative process, and helped plan as well as participated in a dynamic associate showcase. I also voluntarily copy-edited a large number of placards and promotional materials for the event.
My first novel, One Sister’s Song has been recorded and added to the Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic national catalog of audio titles for students with reading disabilities.
